The Witch Trade

The witch trade is about two children, a girl named Abby Clover and a boy named Spike. They live in a sea side town called Speller. Abby’s parents one day disappeared out at sea along with all of the children of Speller except for Abby. Soon after that, Abby’s uncle finds Spike washed ashore holding a spike and speaking a strange language resembling whale sounds.
One day Abby slips on some rocks and gets hurt. Spike runs (with Abby hopping along) to the lighthouse to get help, where they meet Captain Starlight. After they meet him, their whole lives change and many secrets are revealed. Nothing for them would ever be the same after that.

I liked this book because I like adventure and fantasy books. This book definitely provides adventure and you jump right into the book and can’t stop reading it. It’s a real page turner. I can relate to this book because sometimes like Abby, you just have to be brave and do things that you don’t always want to do.
