The Fellowship of the Ring

By J.R.R. Tolkein 4444

Frodo Baggins is left with a ring from his uncle, Bilbo. But Frodo is not a human, he is a hobbit. Hobbits are creatures with leathery feet, so that they never have to go to the trouble of wearing shoes. Bilbo and Frodo live in a world called “Middle Earth”. Middle Earth is made up of the men, hobbits, elves, dwarves, and wizards. In the beginning of time, magical rings were forged for several of each of the different kind of creatures to wear. But in the dark caves of “Mount Doom” the “Dark Lord” forged in secret, a ring of his own. This ring he made for himself in order to have powers that even the other rings could not contain. On the top of the ring, these words were carved:

“One Ring to rule them all,
One ring to find them all,
One ring to bring them all,
And in the darkness bind them.”

Frodo finds himself amidst problems concerning both the very life of Middle Earth, and at the same time, the life of the Dark Lord and his Ring. Frodo and his :”Fellowship” go on many adventures and find themselves in the paths of deadly creatures, just to return he ring of the fires of Mount Doom.
