Kira Kira

by Cynthia Kadohata 44444

Kira Kira is about a girl named Katie who just moved from Iowa to Georgia. Katie and her family are part of the 30 Japanese people in the town. There are over 4000 people in the whole town. Katie and her older sister Lynn learn to make the best of their poor life. Their Uncle is the leader of the “community.” The community does a lot of things together such as, they all watch T.V. at the home of the only family that has a T.V. Lynn is a very strong student who has an A average. When Katie goes to school she sees how hard Lynn actually works to have a straight A average. Then Lynn gets sick and everything goes down hill from there.

I liked this book because I could felt like Katie throughout the whole book.
